Our Origin Story

RSS Investment Counsel’s story begins in 1984 as the entrepreneurial realization by Barbara G. Rosenblum and Phyllis R. Sutton, two highly-capable investment professionals. The pair co-managed client investment portfolios, specializing in growth stock investing for more than three decades until Barbara’s passing in 2018 and Phyllis’ retirement in 2024.

We are grateful for their example of unwavering commitment to exceptional client service and are committed to delivering nothing less.

RSS Today

Today, our team embodies the same spirit, investment philosophy and commitment to client service that we learned from our founders.

We listen. We mind the details. We keep clients’ interests first. Always.

It’s why we have become the choice of many individuals and families over the last 40 years.

We’re built for depth, not scale. Sure, that means fewer clients, but it also means more attention to you. No bureaucracy. When you call us, every team member knows who you are. Relationships matter.
